You're not alone....do you have any 'Docklets' running? Just close and re-start the proggie and that may do the trick. (it's known to build up 'Handle' count over time.)

Another thing that will help is to turn the dock backgrounds tranparancies to opaque...

Strange that just some people have this problem...
When i hit the show button next to the clock down right corner my CPU hits 100% workload... When i quit the ObjectDock everything is cool... and fast as usually.
I've just uninstalled TweakXP and wonder if some prefs from that could cause my problems...?

Also if you use ICONS (.ICO) for your dock objects insted of PNG files, it makes a big differerence, especially if you got a lot of them.

indeed. icons are a big thing that eats up the processing time to render the magnifying things. if you like the funcitonality of the bar but it runs too slow for you, set it not to magnify the icons, or to magnify only slightly.

You may have a point there ... i had ONE ICO and i changed it and i must say that i've noticed a small improvement.
Thanks!

What's your OS? If you're running XP and have multiple users with different themes running that will drag you down fer sher.
How much RAM do have? 512 seems a minimum to keep everything running happily. Running graphic-intensive [ie:DX themes with a lot going on] apps use a lot fo video memory. Your video card will rob memory from your RAM if it's being maxed out. Running Sisoftware Sandra [free vers. on Cnet] will tell you more about your comp. than you probably wanted to know, but it has little tips that show where you're losing performance. Of course, you could go back to the plain old look that came with your comp, but that wouldn't be any fun!

My OS is Win XP SP1 and no i don't use miltiple users. And yes 512 Mb of memory is correct. And my GFX card is GeForce 4 Ti 4200 with 128 mb mem. So this small thingy like ObjectDock should run perfect on my system i think. Maby the TweakXP has made some changes to my system and that's why it's kinda slow... i have removed TweakXP now but maby some changes don't changes back to how it was before TweakXP ...
I'll do a new install of everything later on and i'll see if that helps.
Thanks anyway, and i'm NOT going to uninstall ObjectDock.

Only joking about un-install! I wish I had a better answer for you on the slow-down I defer to the greater tech-heads out there. Good luck!

The problem is NOT with our hardware, it's the ObjectDock that have some bugs.
And i know that other people with lesser computers runs ObjectDock without any problems. And THAT annoy's the hell out of me.
